Basics

When I look at the classes that I don't want to go to and the ones that I have the hardest time in I notice one thing they all have in common: they are basics. I'm a freshman right now and while I understand that I need to do my basics so I have a general understanding of things and not have too narrow of a focus, I really wish I didn't have to take them. The other day I was looking at the class of 2017 Course Catalog and looking at all classes I could take. I really want to just skip my basics and go straight for the classes related to my major and minor, but then I wouldn't graduate. I know it will get better like it always does and soon enough I will be there, but I just really want to be there now.
